I searched for this problem but have not found anything so...

Whenever I want to select multiple photos one by one

there is a serious delay in them becoming selected, to the point that it is so slow
I cannot work with it anymore.
anyone an idea as what problem this might be?

thanks
Marc

Bridge has been slow too on my computer but i noticed it doesnt like to have too many images per file, because it is creating a simultaneous thumbnail and if you have over 500 images raw, or psd or nef in one folder, it will consume most of your computer resources, so id recomend making smaller folders less than 50 pictures or files per folder...also your computer may be lacking ram, if you have under 1 giga forget it that is why it is slow...if you are over 2 gigas it should work fine, if you are using pc maybe your video card is too slow on the processing...and also try to update your adobe products maybe there is a bug bugging you.
Good luck!

thanks for your help
the folders are only containing 20 or so images and actually not even
that big 1 to 2mb so I really wonder what is happening as the problem occured
a few days ago out of the blue.

anyone else has a suggestion other than a reinstall or buying a new mac?

much appreciated
m

check your entire system, if pc may have some bugs and old activex problems or even spyware...if mac that shouldnt hapen, maybe try to restore your program, if not it could be hardware, ram, or a slow disk, i forgot to ask you is your photos on diferent HD than the os? sometimes if the os HD is full or too busy with other tasks, the read speed will be slow on files.
