Rotating Text in Photoshop

Could someone explain how to add text to an image and then rotate it so that it is at a 45 degree angle? I can only see a horizontal and vertical alignment. Thanks!

Use a bounding box and hold down 'shift' to get 45*....or go to EDIT/Transfer/Rotate and rotate to suit.
