If you read a few of the positive posts they are obviously stacking the deck. There's no way those are legitimate positives or stories. I've never had any experience with them, but I'd be very, very leary of doing business with them. Just buy from someone reputable, especially if the deal seems too good to be true.

I purchased a camera from them a while back and I did eventually get what I ordered for the price they advertised but it was only after lots of phone calls and messing around. If I had it to do over again I would not purchase from them again, whatever savings they are offering isn’t worth the hassle in my opinion.

It's one of my favorite store. It's competitively priced. Got my 24-70 2.8L, 580ex II, and xti body twice (second one for a gift). And my friend got his 28-135 IS lens too without problems. I plan on getting the 1d mk3 from them, but sitting on the fence hoping for a 1d3n or something FF.

I am going to take delivery of my 1d mark iii today after 8 business days of waiting. The actual shipping time was 1 day from NJ to MA. They 7 business days before shipping out something that is in stock. I will not order from them again even with the competitive pricing they have on some of the items.

so at least you got the stuff, and saved money. it sounds like they are not updated on the stock, and you got a newly built one, not one thats sitting on the shelf for months. u got the blue dot, yellow, or green version?

if time is such an issue, i guess you can buy it somewhere else. I would rather get the savings + no tax, no shipping fees. 7-8 days is no big deal.

To reassure those on the fence about US1 Camera, I can relate what I just experienced. I called in an order for a 1D Mark III on June 25th. My online banking showed that my card was charged that same day. I had understood that there would be a delay in shipping and that the only news I would have from them would be an email once the camera had left their fulfillment site. I did not call or email during the wait. At 1PM on July 2nd, I received an email with the UPS tracking number. The camera arrived at 2PM Thursday July 3rd with no problems to report. The camera box has a yellow dot, a serial number of 55XXXX, an 0W0410 date code in the battery box indicating a manufacturing date of April 2008 and firmware version 1.2.3 installed. The camera looks factory fresh and unmolested with all relevant materials in the box, a USA warranty card, and, except for the somewhat inhabitual long silence, this was an uneventful online discount experience.
