Could anyone recommend a type or brand of glue that I could use a small amount of to stick a small "unstuck" patch of my D300's grip near the battery door, plus the zoom rings on my 17-55 and Tok 12-24 which have come loose and sometimes slip off when working (my hands tend to get very hot).

I've read somewhere that superglue could eat away at the rubber?

Thanks in advance!
Rick.

Search for "grip glue" and you'll get a ton of info. I have used Barge Rubber cement (usually in the shoe repair department) with success on the "rubber" grip on my Coolpix 950. It completely fell off. I glued it back on about 6 years ago and I'm still using the camera to macro shots. It's the same material as the "rubber" grip on my D70 and I assume on all Nikon DSLRs.

Works by applying a thin coating on both sides, let dry almost completely and push together. Voila, instant repair.

Super glue won't work because it's brittle and there's some slight flexibility of the grip. This Barge stuff is flexible even after completely dried. Double sided (thin) tape with agressive adhesive won't work either. Don't ask me how I know. :) The "rubber" is too sllippery for the tape.

Pliobond. Works of D200 rubber bits.
