Which older Minolta camera lenses will work with digital cameras?

Most of my macro lenses are manual focus Minolta MD or MC. They are first quality items, used with a converter (remove the lens from the converter or buy one without a lens) and use manual focus... That is, if you are interested in macro!

All of the AF lenses. Some of the older lenses represent fantastic bargains for new DSLR users. For details of how well each lens works, and whether people have tested them on digital, I suggest you look at dyxum.com (the lens section). which gives users' comments and ratings on each lens.

Many good lenses to suit your need and pocket are then available on ebay, or at the big s/h dealers like KEH, BHphoto or Adorama....much more effective thasn giving your hard earned cents to Sony!

The Minolta Vectis lenses can't couple to a DSLR - oh, except the Minolta RD 3000.

I still use my MC/MD manual focus lenses as jpp does. You can get a MD/MC -> AF coupler - if you can find one - for not too much cash. You can buy new from http://haodascreen.com/default.aspx but check out Adorama etc. for used ones.
This taken with an MD 50mm 3.5 macro without the 1:1 adapter on a KM 7D.

The MD/MC lenses are still excellent and a lot cheater than the AF equivalents.
