I had some prints made by Mpix and they look good but are too dark. So I asked for and got the ICC profiles for their paper. I want to color correct the images myself instead of letting them do it.
Is there any easy way to color correct the image with Phooshop CS3?

I have the image opened twice, one with soft proofing on. I can switch back and forth to compare them. The proofed one has some greens wrong (too yellow) but I cant seem to get them to match. I've tried manipulating that color but it does not fix it.
Thanks for any help.

One of the most common reason why image print dark is because the images have been edited by some one that used a machine and the machine LCD display was set up too bright. The images look great on screen but the images themselves are too dark.

They're not supposed to match. The purpose of soft-proofing is to adjust the soft-proofed version (using the printer profile) so the colors look the way you want them to look in print.

When you toggle back to Photoshop's color-managed view, it shouldn't look the same as it does under the printer profile.

everything I send to mpix I have to lighten 12 % or it is too dark and what I print at home on my epson is a match to my system. So I send out as little as possible plus I like the way the epson prints look a lot better.

Yes I know, that's what I am trying to fix. I am manipulating the colors on the proofed version to better match the other one. But I cant get the colors right.
I was hoping there was an easy Photoshop trick to fix that.
