The last day of nice sunny weather here in Holland todays so of course I took a day off to make a last seasonal stroll for some macro images.
I'm almost getting bored of them so it won't be much longer for you all ;-)

Anyway here are a few from today with again the K20 and the A* 200 macro.

(Which reminds me I had other lenses with me as well, but i didn't use them.....)

Don't know what this is, but it sure looks like it's coming from Roswell

Because sex sells:

This must be a very very old fly as it's all grey

And I made a new friend for about 15 minutes

Glad his eye shows that I was not shooting in a studio ;-)

Hope you enjoyed my small macro trip!

Mike

More interesting bugs - and a lizard to eat them! Mike, you are definitely a "balanced observer" of nature.

Excellent images, as usual. I am in awe of your ability to bring the macro world into the everyday realm.

More stunning stuff, mate!! Love that lizard close up!

You really have the photographic gift and also the gift for finding such fascinating subject matter.

Mike,

The insect macros are particularly engaging and compositionally exceptional. Macro two is my favorite. The color, balance and movement within the crop is fantastic.

So, the lizard is a buddy for only 15 minutes? We'll have to re-name you "Love'em and Leave'em Mike". :)

Great shots! Keep them coming!

The best macros I have ever seen, as well as your others. I dont know much about what type of lens you need to do this but between what must be a great lens and a great photographer its a winning combo.

Well Mike, You are definitely back in form.

This was a series of images that I had to show to my wife. Now that I have a new computer, that means I actually have to go out to the living room so she can see your images on "her computer". We both enjoyed the experience.

That last shot of the lizard is just incredible. (The others are not bad mind you!)

As always, thanks for sharing. Get going on your book.

Be well,

I build EOS* but shoot Pentax ;)

Superb stuff Mike,

I prowl around our garden and open spaces but rarely see the interesting insects that you seem to find. :-(

Do you have a secret place, or any tips?.. But ah!.. Not rubbish tips, sorry, I don't want to crawl around those! ;-)

I guess that having a A* 200 macro helps a bunch as well. It's such a pity they (and the FA*) are as rare as rocking horse sh*t, and expensive when they do appear, plus I never seem to have the ready cash when one does turn up!

Once again, wonderful stuff. Keep them coming.
