Mathers of Lancashire: to good to be true!

Phone them and see how it sounds. Visiting them would be the best.

Kind regards

Raul

If they advertise a price for a piece of equipment that's what they will sell it to you fo,r they do not rip you off and are very honest and reliable.

One's life is not measured by the two dates upon your tombstone, but how you lived the dash in between them

Ordered my D3 and 24-70 from Mathers on 10th Jan. Arrived 3 weeks later.

Fantastic price and service.

No grey imports to worry about.

Its not too good to be true. Go ahead!

Cheers

Paul ...

It's true I get mine tomorrow. Mathers are an established company and they have been around for donkeys years. A bargain with the 24-70mm lens.

Donkeys years ago they used to be called "Mathers of Manchester"... I first got into the Nikon system by going into their shop on Bridge Street, just off Albert Square, a long time before they moved Up North to Bolton. Always had great service matched with great prices from them. I remember my first Nikon... a meterless Nikkormat FS which, as is the way of things, is now worth more money to collectors than users.

Practicing and thinking can do more for good photography than buying or consuming.

I've been using Mathers since 1978, and they've been utterly reliable. I originally lived too far away to visit, and bought mail order. Now I'm about an hour's drive away and visit if possible. I can also recommend their repair service.
In 30 years, I've never been let down or disappointed.

RGB have similar prices.

But I would not touch them now. Had a pre ordered D3 (NPS) and they flaming sold it to someone else, full of empty promises etc etc

Then they told me they could get me one on x date, surely enough nothing arrived, oh it was XXX (a made up excuse), definitely it will be here for X, but surprise surprise it wasnt!!!

They are a joke in my opinion.

Would never buy from them IMO.

Wondering if anyone has used them?
Got my D200 from them 2 years ago and that was genuine Nikon UK stock and I have not had any problems with it (total shutter actuations now well over 15000).
They seem a good shop to do business with.
