Taken with D300 in Commander mode with an SB800 (camera left) into a silver reflector. 1/60 F6.3 ISO 400 AWB

AB800 as a slave for background lighting. Primarily trying out the capability of the commander mode and on board flash as fill. I think you need to have another SB800 as the master on camera to avoid any red eye situations. Some pics of the dogs did cause red eye.

Very happy with colors and skin tones on the D300.

Nice shot Revstat!

For what it is worth, I was reading the Magic Lantern Guide - AF Speed Light Flash System (very good book on the Nikon flashes) and they talk about red-eye. For animals, they state red-eye is rather eye-shine caused by an additional layer behid the animal's retina called tapetum lucidum and depending on the species, the reflection can be yellow, blue, green. The remedity however is the same as human's with red-eye.
