I agree with you. There should be a way to lock it. It's a silly place for the quality button.

I think most of the people in this thread so far have mistaken you for a Canon user or something and are on the defensive. How dare you sully the good name of Nikon!

No tool is perfect for everyone. I love the d300, but I would love to reprogram the qual button to be BKT.
