this was in Bahrain... :) this was the first round..... and I am sure there will be many more rounds coming.. I am just looking forward for the top fuelers. cant wait to see them up close....

If this is your first time - you have little idea of what will come. I grew up with drag racing since it started in the late 50's in Southern California. I have seen the motors grow in Top Fuel from 392 cu. in. to now 500-600 cu. in and the horsepower go from 1500 to over 7,000. It is truly unbeleivable. And the cackle of a motor on fuel (90-95% nitromethane) never fails to send chills up my spine. It is truly a sight and sound to behold.

But the hurt it puts on your eyes and ears if you are not prepared can be no fun. Enjoy and keep up the good work.

Wow. What a nice picture that really captures the moment. I may be being picky, but would it benefit from a straighter horizon? Seems a tad slanted, or maybe that was the camber on the track...? Looking forward to seeing the rest.

me being there and hearing them passing by, was a great feeling, how would it feel if I would go with them and be around them all the time.. knowing everything abut them.. that is something nice.. I appreciate ur words..

I know I am lame in with it comes to cars.. and most of the thinks u have mentioned were like alien to me.. but thanks to the internet that makes me understand things faster..

how this pic brought back some good memories... and yes I will keep u guys posted.. :)

WOW, Cool shots.
I wish they will make the Drag Racing during the day in my Country..
that would fix so many things....
as well as I would get much better pix.. :p
I love ur Pix..

this is something different then Pro-Mod.. am I right? I think they call them Funny cars or something like that.. correct me if I am wrong please...

thanks for liking the picture.. and I am glad that u like it.

ok I think I knwo what u mean.. but I as a photographer had limitation on the track.. cuz I could not go down by the cars as I liked or anything..
I could only be at one side of the track...
and thats what I dont like...

anyway, I think I have some other pictures with the camera tilted a bit..
as soon as I get them ready I will post them...
just hope that they r as good else there will be nothing.. :(

Great shot indeed... I'm a 'Door Slammer' fan myself... After
racing the good ol' Challenger back in the 70's, dang, showing
my age!!! Again Great shot
