I am having trouble using remote capture (connecting my G9 to my work laptop). With the G7 it worked great. With the G9 remote capture software once I connect the camera via USB port to my laptop and open remote capture I get an error message that reads something like this...the destination folder is full, please change folder before proceeding...". the issue I have is that when I say OK or cancle the error message, the remote capture window closes and I have no idea as to how to change the destination folder.

There seems to be no way through the Camera Window software. The issue maybe caused by the fact that My Documents folder resides in a network, if so, I would like to make my Desktop my destination folder, but I am not having luck finding out how to change the destination folder.

Any help I can get form you will be great;y appreciated.

Are you using the Zoombrowser software that came wih the G9 or G7? If you didn't update Zoombrowser from the G9 CD, that may be your problem.

We had trhe same problem in a coprorate setting. We had to go 'offline', ie. setup the software on a computer disconnected from our network to make it work. Canon helpdesk could not come up with an answer.

I would suggest that you continue to ask them, in the end they will sort something out for you. You should'nt need to purchase new software to do this

Not sure if this is relevent or not, because I personally have neveer used this software before, but why can't you just directly connect the camera to your desktop (through USB), right click on your desktop and create a "new folder". This new folder would be on your desktop, which you could use as the destination folder. Is the software downloaded on your computer or on the network. Try going direct with everything on the desktop. The network security could possible stop you from doing this though...good luck- Garret

I'm having the same problem with the illusory target folder with no room. I've gone in through the EOS utility to set up a desktop destination folder, but that doesn't solve the problem.

I suppose I'm going to have to go with the BreezeSys solution. Probably just as well; I've never had any luck with Canon software.
