I recently sold off my D80 getting ready to get a new dslr. So I took my 828 to Aspen with me, its nice and light for the long hikes. It would have been great to have my D80 and glass, but I think the 828 did a fine job. Its still a great cam.

Hi Sandy. Wonderful shots and I enjoyed them, however I wanted to see the elk with that wonderful mountain background so I did a little PS work on the photo and there are the elk. My wife and I, while living out in British Columbia saw many elk during our five year stay there in Vancouver.
I hope you don't mind my brightening up the photo a bit.
Nice job, it does look better. It was very interesting too see this herd moving down from the high coumtry. They are beautiful. I just love visiting the mountains, looks nothing like my home in Southern Minn
Sandy really nice shots I really like the second one.
Just for fun I made your second shot my desktop wallpaper for my computer screen, wow ! I couldn't believe how good it looks will be staying for awhile.
I dare you/guys to try it!
For those who dmight not know how.
Just right click with your mouse on one of Sandys photos and choose set as wallpaper.
You're so welcome, Sandy. I very seldom kick in with a revised photo and I am happy that you liked it. I just couldn't resist wanting to see the herd of elk.
Thanks for being so understanding.

Again it is a beautiful shot of the mountain country of Aspen. Isn't it great that some folks who can't manage to go to places likeis can see it in a photo. Keep up the good work Sandy and let's see some more of your travels on the forum.

Sandy, what a beautiful place to have the opportunity to photograph! You did a nice job. I do like the processing Robert did to the elk, it makes them stand out against those awesome peaks!
