those of you who have a printer capable of printing on CDs - what is your opinion of the quality? What printer do you use?

I have an Epson R800 printer with CD printing capability. The result on water resistant Imation Aquagard printable CDs is quite nice when I use 'Enhanced matte' in the printer driver. I would classify the output as near photo quality; admittedly a subjctive classification. It also provides a very durable surface. My understanding is that there is a durable glossy/water resistant printable CD out there also.

Thanks, Bruce, for the input. The R800 is one that I am seriously considering purchasing. It appears to be a versatile printer.

I use an Epson R1800 and Discus cd printing software from magicmouse.com

I have used a silver surfaced printable cd from TDK, Taiyo-Yuden Watershield hub printable cd's and DVD's (glossy surface) and other printable cd's with excellent results.

The Discus software directly supports the R800/R1800 printers and also has templates for jewel case inserts, mailing lables, business cards, etc.
Dymo also has a disk printer but I know nothing about it. (dymo.com)

I also use Magic Mouse software which is excellent value. Would you please let me know where you get your (Glossy) Printable cd's from? as I cant seem to find any where I am .Thanks in advance

I got mine from meritline.com
50 52x CD's $27
50 16x DVD's $31
Both are glossy, waterproof, and hub printable. Spindle packaged.

Also from the latest magicmouse newsletter:
Imation Aquaguard (a matte finish disk) available at superwarehouse.com
Taiyo Yuden Watershield (a glossy finish disk) available at supermediastore.com
Moser Baer Waterproof - available at http://www.blankmedia.ca

MM also points out that these are not available in your local store because stores are obsessed with low prices.

Your welcome. I have both of these and the resulting finished product is absolutely amazing!

I just wish they also made them in DL media.
