My girlfreind took the sp-350 to Vegas last weekend. She shot auto mode and HQ, straight from camera, I'm still impressed with this camera!

God bless our troops!.

The first one appears to be missing, but the rest are really nice. My favorite is the second one.

out of their other digicams (which number in the teens by now). The SP-350 is phenomenal - in particular, when you shoot RAW. The clarity and richness of the images (for a digicam) can be quite stunning. Now why can't Olympus at least get this effect from their other digicams - in particular their SP-550 and 560? Unbelievable and Oly is taking steps backward. I am so glad I kept my SP-350.

I love your friend's photos. I really love the SP-350. I shoot mostly RAW and have no complaints. I would like a bit longer tele but that is the only nit I wish to pick.

I just bought a Pano FZ8 for the long shots, also a fine camera.

Ben, as we had talked earlier older models seem to live on in the military exchange system. Found about 8 SP-350s today at the PX for $349 I believe, roughly what they were asking for the -550. I love my 320, and if they have a 350 around when I go back next week or so, I may pull the plastic out. The new TV may have to wait until next Christmas or the old one dies...

Great shots in the original post!

So much to see, so much to revel in, and photograph in this world..can one have too many cameras?

I may be going back as soon as tomorrow. But first, one for my parents..while tinkering with one of my Yashicas yesterday afternoon it hit me that they don't have a camera, haven't in at least 40 years. We (their children), the grandkids, and now great grandchildren-all the pics they have are ones given them of school photos (wallet sized), Sears or K-Mart portraits, weddings...most of the ones they have of the grandchildren and great grandkids at Christmas or at other times in an album I took over the years.

They have a computer, but are challenged by it. I think Mom can work a digital, but would need to run to WalMart for prints; my father's hands don't work so good anymore, so film is the better option.

Going to a couple of shops today to see if they stilll have some film Stylus models around.

Ben, just a follow-up to your post/my post. I went back to the PX today, price was marked $335, which is less than many used ones on Amazon so I happily call the lady over. BTW, they have 18 in stock.

She rings it up twice as $439, and goes to the manager after I grumble. He says they had been on sale some time ago and they hadn't changed the display. Obviously they need to hire some help...I left the camera there. I'll take my chances with e-Bay and getting a refurb from Oly direct.
