Epson 2400 - cost per print

Hi,
sorry I have no 2400, but an 1400.
When using the original ink from epson expect app. 80 cent per A4 print.

80x400=> 320 Euro => buy a CISS !

When using the a Continuos Ink System expect app. 12 cent per A4 print.
If the CISS is equipped with 600ml Ink it is more than enough for 400 A4 pages.

This is my experience with the Epson 1400.
I hope that helps a bit.

Prices are Ink only - without paper.
Currency is EURO.

From tests I've run, the ink cost is $1.50 per square foot for photos. Paper cost varies widely depending on what you wish to use.

Epson Premium Luster paper from Atlex is $0.50 per sheet for 8.5x11.

Cost of ink + paper for that combination is a little under $1.50 per print.

InkJetArt's MicroCeramic Luster is $0.34 per sheet in bulk. That drops the cost to something like $1.32 per sheet. I use the MC Luster for pretty much everything I print with my R2400 and the print quality is very good.

That would be a little better when initially stocking up on ink. But as time goes on, orders are never for all inks at once.

For example, my last order for R2400 ink was for 8 cartridges: 2 light magenta, and 1 each of light light black, light black, photo black, yellow, cyan, light cyan.

That eBay seller ought to offer to sell 9 cartridges at that price, buyer's choice of which ones. That would be more useful.
You sometime can find even lower price at eBay. No harm to check both
place before you buy.
True.

Just wondering. Do you get same longevity as R2400 pigment printout from online prints? And is the color WYSIWYG?

No offense. Just want to know how good are those online prints. When I send photo to Snapfish, Shutterfly or Costco, their machine always try to do some adjustment on my images for me. Which I found is quite annoying.

What we need is the ink usage (ml) per square meter.
Then you can calculate the ink usage per A4 print,
depening on the particular offer for ink.
Paper as well.

I would expect 25 ml of ink per square meter.
Do not ferget the head cleanin cycles.... :-(
Maybe someone has more precise results.
