Hi,

I'm trying to find the reason for many focus failures with my GX100 and
I am going to conduct some systematic testing.
Before I do: Should the "shake reduction" be off when on a tripod?
Any ideas?

Thanks,

Christian

For my Minolta 7D DSLR, which has a similar IS system, YES. But I don't see any recommendation from Ricoh for the GX100/GRD. When the IS is only done in software, it shouldn't matter. But when there's a mechanical system (sensor or lens), I think that it needs to be turned off.

Just my 2 cents...

At the risk of doubling your testing I would do it with and without - or at least try that first on one image to see if it affects things.
