I'm not aware of any current publications. It's a shame that there isn't more current information available considering how much time he devoted to teaching. Most of what I've seen came out of various Kodak publications, and that goes pretty far back. It might be worth contacting Kodak's headquarters to see if they have any kind of bibliography available.

It's a technique that deserves more attention than what it's been receiving these days and also one that people can put to use with very little expense.

Thanks for your reply.

Obviously you know about it, but its a pity if someone does something worthwhile and does not leave a legacy of that info.

I'll keep looking

Thanks.

I have a book co-author by him and he personally signed it for me at a seminar he was speaking at with Dennis Reggie and Monte Zucker around 1982 I believe and I think he was in his late fifties at that time. He showed us some of his beautiful 20 x 24 color prints of his subtractive lightning techniques. I think he has passed on to the next plane of existence. He was a excellent teacher and true southern gentleman.

Have you the name / author of the book, so I could track one down.

I would really appreciate it.

Peter,

I believe it was published by Amphoto, it might take a week or two because all my photo books are packed away in my attic. There where three authors I believe, Leon,

Al Gibert & Monte Zucker. Each author did 1/3 of the book with text , diagrams and photos. Leon did the best work in my opinion. Email me in 2 weeks I should have found it by then.

Best,
db
