S300 discontinued

S30 price cut - street price around $450
S40 price cut - TBS
G2 price cut - street price around $710

Apparently, they have reduced the cost of the S30 so much that it directly competes with the S300. That's why the discontinued it.

No word on when the next elph will come out, but my guess is that until they can reproduce the same technology as the S30, in a smaller package, we may not even see a replacement.

Ideally they need something the size of the S100 with 3MP+ and a 3x Zoom.

He said discontinued, not discounted. Any reduction in price will be strictly from the retailers with extra stock, of which I doubt there will be many.
