I just googled for anydvd, and it also runs on Vista. So I can do exactly the same in Vista. I even checked their forums, people say it is running fine on Vista.I can rip audio and video with xp and get bit-perfect data, no matter
what. even with BD and HDDVD (see 'anydvd' for one answer).
(Probably they use one of the cracked AACS device-keys from WinDVD or PowerDVD to get HD content running. They will have to get a new key when this key is revoked, which they probably won't have much problems with)
Signed drivers are NOT required in Vista, too. So what is your point?xp was less evil since the 'lockdown' was less harsh and not fully to
the hardware level (signed drivers were NOT required).
Vista 64 requires signed drivers out of the box, but even this can be easily deactivated (The same thing is true for XP 64, by the way)
