Today, both DA* 16-50 and DA* 50-135 are available in Korea.
My friends already took them. I think that we're kind of lucky :)

Congrats to your friend for getting the lens. Now get out and take pics - and report back. Please.

Regards,
Gerard

Is that a Tamron style cap that you can pinch in the middle to remove it from the lens??? If so that would be soooooooo great!! It's always been a pain to use a front cap with a hood attached, now it would be a breeze!

I thought we knew all there was to know about the specs of this lens... Some surprises still!!

tx for posting!!!

Yes, as you see, the front cap is the style of Tamron.
I think all new Star lenses will have the front cap of new style, so Good :)

It's the item I am first to loose....
If I get mine, and Wim askes me to send him mine because I will loose
them anyway, it will get lost before I arrive at the post-office.
I know we could always get alternative caps, but somehow it's the kind of thing I never get round to inspite of repeatedly cursing the cap when wanting to leave the hood on and wanting to put the cap on as well... I love it!

Sorry Jan, I'm getting carried away a bit... Need to vent my enthousiasm. I'm sure I'll be alright in a few hours... ;-)

Let's hope the 77mm pinch-style cap (I saw previously on the DA12-24) trickles down for the smaller sizes (e.g. 67mm) as well. :)

My friend posted a new pic.
You could see the front cap a little better.

He said, he will post sample pics tommorow or the day after tommorow,
because tommorow is the birthday of his daughter :)

Yes, now I think they have done just about everything I could want (except miraculously make the whole thing as small as my FA43 :-)). The pinch cap is for me!

Yes, you are right, I think the pinch cap is a Tokina thing too (as in the 12-24mm)....

Never knew that about the DA12-24... Does this indicate there's more Tokina to the lenses than we think? Not necessarily bad...
