I love it!

I really do hate to nit-pick this very well done image, but I think what bothers me can be resolved fairly easily. My eye keeps going to her very tanned shoulder and arm, which is quite a bit darker than her face. Perhaps a touch of PS to bring her arm back closer in tone to that of her face? Even without a perfect match, getting these two areas closer will make it less distracting.

It was pretty warm, at 9:00 a.m. Na... IT WAS HOT at 9:00.

They only wanted two type of shots

Sunflowers, and car

Greenscreen? Hmmmmm,, don't own one.

You really ought to know when to keep it shut. I'm not a digital artist. I don't need PS to get the job done. Just light and a camera... I had a knuclehead say the same thing about this shot as well last year...

3 bare strobes were used. Novatron 1500VR kit. 98 degrees out on a clear HOT summer day.

A different day, different patch, same lighting setup, EXCEPT, the full sun was at their backs...

Now go back and play nice with your little brother...

You proved my point, the photo you just posted is not sharp on the model, just the flowers in the foreground are sharp, your 1st image is a composite because the girl is sharp as well as the foreground along with the bad burning job around the bottom of the photo. At 1st glace your image almost looks believable until you look at a 200%. Post ten images that are sharp Philly and prove me wrong.

Great shots, Phil. Ignore the compositiing troll.

Do you happen to have any shots with natural light only? I'm curious to see what the strobe was contributing.

Sorry, I didn't bother taking a natural lighting shot. I had the lighting with me, and wanted to fill in any type of harsh shadows there might have been. I just metered the ambient, and setup the light to match it.

The only other one I have of her. I think I took 7 shots with 2 top changes. It was quite warm out there, so I didn't waste time.

Are you insane? Look at his other work, he doesn't composite.

Look at the group shot, you can see the flowers in the back are dark except for the petals which are being back list (translucency my friend) but the foreground flowers are being hit by the strobe lighting the people thus illuminated. you can see where the DOF sweet spot is and where it falls off.

Now look at the close up. You can see where his lens is resolving and why it appears the way it does. If you are going to composit in some perfect shot why would you leave some of the dead flowers?

If you are so sure of yourself why don't you put up about 10K go meet up with him and he can shoot the same shot with you in it. Then when he proves you are wrong, not to mention rude and have no idea how to spot green screen compositing (I wouldn't know anything about it since I spent years in Hollywood as a Digital Matte artist and compositor) you can give him the 10K and we can all laugh.
