Hi there everyone!
I finally settled on the FZ50 in part thanks to this forum which I was thrilled to find! I am also a stark beginner...and a little intimidated by my equipment, lack of photographic experience, but awestruck by the beautiful photographs posted here! I am ready and willing to learn!
I also have a Canon Eos 350D which hubby bought for me last Christmas and just took it out of the box a couple of months ago. I love the Canon but was afraid to use it as an all around, family outings, etc...I was in search of a good point and shoot. Then I stumbled across the FZ50 and since I love to meander about the backwoods here mingling with the wildlife and not being able to get decent shots with my current p&s ( cannon 3 MP 3x optical) and not wanting to always have to carry the dslr, the FZ50 I thought, lends it self to being a little bit of the best of both worlds.
Now I just have to learn how to use it ( not even very good with the dslr yet) But you all have totally inspired me with your informative chatter and beautiful photos. The macros are incredible..and after reading the posts I ordered the raynox 150 & 250. Any suggestions for external flash?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
