D30 in Peru

All images have been shot in RAW, I hadn't noticed the yellow cast
on the pictures. I'll see how to improove them.
Bart,

Forget all I just said! I overlooked that you shot RAW. You should be able to acquire them with a cooler WB setting and that should do the trick. I'm still a film shooter, but I've played around with the 1D aquire plugin and RAW images from online sites. Hopefully soon I'll be digicam shooting!

Bart -

Enjoyed seeing your images. Thanks for sharing.

My wife and I were in Peru this past June/July with a D-30 and one lens - the 28-135 IS. As we were trekking I wanted to travel light.

I created a slide show of all the best images with Peruvian music and created an .exe file that runs on a PC (not a Mac). If you go to this link: http://www.beechbrook.com/pte/ and download the "Trip to Peru" show you'll see the results of our time there. Beware the file is 21 MB, so you'll want a high speed connection. We arrived in time for the Inti Raymi festival, hiked the Salkantay Trail and the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. We also spent time of course in Cusco and the "Sacred Valley". It was a great trip. This slide show has details of our trip, the outfitter, places to stay, etc. and might be of use for anyone planning a trip to this part of Peru.

Aloha,

Mitch
