You're right Gail; I just double-checked, and there's no mention of a hotshoe.Unless I overlooked it, I find it incredible that the review didn't
mention the inclusion of an hot shoe...an important feature for
many photographers.

I would say that the hotshoe is a marketing feature and one that only 1 out of 100 purchasers will ever use. On the other hand, the test images of this camera document very well the real problems of this camera including vignetting, lens distortion, chromatic aberrations and aggressive noise correction that leads to loss of detail. Why don't you check these images and let us know what you think?Unless I overlooked it, I find it incredible that the review didn't
mention the inclusion of an hot shoe...an important feature for
many photographers.
Why wouldn't they? As far as we know, Amazon isn't owned by Canon, Nikon, or any other camera manufacturer. dpreview has taken advertising dollars from internet retailers before, so ownership by a retailer shouldn't change their review criteria.I just hope they maintain their objectivity, now that amazon owns
them.
