With tone up I can adjust exposure compensation with jpegs. That's amazing, since I thought that was only possible with RAW.

can you post before/after shots?

thanks for the tip.

This is an excellent converter that gives me results as good a Nikon Capture for a fraction of the price...

Kudos to Todd for creating this program...

Thanks, Todd, I'm eagerly awaiting it. You did a great thing for us, Nikon users.

Kindest regards,

Many programs will allow you to alter your JPGs. It's just that when shooting raw you have more lattitude with how much you can adjust.

For small adjustments, I don't it really matters. But if your WB or exposure are way off, then you will most likely find that making adjustments to raw will yield acceptable results than JPG more of the time.

Just to be clear; ToneUp can do D80 NEF conversion using DCRaw RAW engine which is good but not as good as Nikon's. For D50 (and presumably some other Nikons), ToneUp can use it's native NEF engine which is IMHO as good (if not better) as Nikon's.

It's an excellent software with many unique features and I still hope that full native D80 support will be added one day.
