Hi just bought a F31fd for my wife. Ive been trying it out for a few days and have been very impressed. So much so i have not touched my Nikon D40 !!

My first Macro shots. Your comments would be very welcome, No PP except slight cropping using Picassa.

"...for my wife." Yeah, right! Nice shots, although you might have asked the bee to say "cheese!" Keep on shooting!

Thanks for your comments, They are very much appreciated.

These are my first photos i have posted so i was a bit nervous of the response.

I do confess although i did buy the camera for my wife her criteria was very different to mine. She wanted a small PINK camera with a large LCD. (image quality was lowest on her list). I got her what i believed would suit her best. As most of her pictures are taken indoors, the Fuji F series was the only choice. Although she may never use Aperture and Shutter priority i knew i would ;) so that ruled out F20 and F40. Anyway i did compromise and buy her a Pink case for it so she is very happy !!

Truely amazing images I someday hope to achieve as well!

Respect for your photography skills (and patience with some members over here, I would have had troubles, staying as calm as you (and Cubensis) were).

While we're on the subject of this camera and macro - before I buy one, does anyone know how it performs in macro with flash - I need to use it for close-up photography of frogs at night. While I have a good Nikon DSLR, I need a compact at times for weight reasons and practicality. Any experiences in this area would be welcome e.g. how does the exposure go with flash close-up, or are sunjects often over-exposed? Is there exposure compensation in these situations?
