Hi!

i'm new on this forum. sorry for my english but i'm italian and i don't speak it very well!

I'm looking for a close up lens for my canon G7. I found the raynox msn-202 and the dcr-250 but i don't understand which one of these is greater.

I need a better magnification power in order to take photos at maximun zoom as possible, primary to insects and secondary to some water bubbles. Which one you suggest me ?

There is something better instead of this two close up lens ?
Thank you in advance to all who response to me!!

This page at the Raynox site addresses your specific question
and gives other info specific to use of their lenses with the Canon G7:

In an nutshell,
Raynox DCR-250 is an 8-diopter lens with a 10.9cm working distance
Raynox MSN-202 is an 25-diopter lens with a 3.2cm working distance

the problem is that i would like to mount this lens on canon g7 that have only 6 x optic zoom.

i can't find any samples with g7 and 250 or 202 lens ...

I'm not qualified to offer a knowledgeable opinion on this, but one of the links I included above shows "apples-for-apples" comparison between the various lenses, including the canon 250d

No, the photos on THAT PARTICULAR PAGE were not shot using a G7.

The point is that all were shot with an identical camera, in controlled conditions. This presentation provides an execllent lens model vs model comparison.

Sigh. Please -- REcheck the links I posted.

What??? Maybe we have a language barrier?
I don't understand the reason for your worry/concern.

As shown on the Raynox site (and elsewhere) clearly both MSN-202 and DCR-250 are compatible with the G7

Russel, thank you really so much for links and help ... !!!! you rocks!!

i just ordered the DCR-250 and i hope it will be a great purchase.
I will review the lens when it arrived.

I bought the DCR-250 because the MSN-202 have a DOF to much higher for my opinion, as checked on your links.

Thank you again
