My sister and her husband are visiting the area this week. Sheryl and I took them over to Ft Worth to the Stockyards.

The Grapevine, Tx. Trantula Railroad turntable. They have to reverse the direction of the steam engine for the return run to Grapevine.

A winding path in the park below the Stockyards shops.

The longhorn cattle drive, held twice a day.

Jerry,

Having been there, I don't think you could have made that first shot any prettier. Love how you composed it.

The winding path shot is absolutely gorgeous! One of these days you will have to tell me how you get to that point.

And the longhorns... well, they are longhorns. :)

Great shots!

No problem. Next time you are on Exchange street the winding path shot is pretty much right behind the White Elephant. You will probably be surprised to learn that there is a little park back there, and that some of the buildings are actually built on a bridge.

Two ways to get there. If you are standing in front of the White Elephant walk east and take a right down the space between the shops, which will take you on a sidewalk that overlooks the park.

If you prefer to go west from the White Elephant, walk to the corner and take a left on Main back toward the Courthouse, then behind the clothing store take a left into an alley, with an old metal fire escape on one wall. The park is in there.

You can walk thru the bridge under the stores. There is a mural painted on the walls, tho not a very good one. It might be muddy right now with all the high water, but it is all concrete sidewalk.

IMO tone is a plus on #2. I love the PP you have done, # 3 is not for me.

Do you like these ones?

Red filter provides very good colour separation that can be exploiting with hue-saturation layers and selective colour layers; I just add some masking for the water.

JESUS
