Thank you Kevin. I had a look at your Surrey gallery that is posted to your pbase site and I must say you do some very nice work. I enjoyed the images very much as this is the sort of thing I like to shoot. You have an excellent eye for composition and the landscapes in England are beautiful.

Forgive me for asking a dumb question, but did you shoot these pictures with a tripod/moono or just hand held?

Your photos are fantastic and inspiring me to drive down to London soon to see how well I fare, but as a noob to the 400d, I don't feel quiet that confident yet!!

he used a sigma lens without tripod i believe..

i'm a beginner..if i was living close to London i would just go and take photos..its a fantastic opportunity and a great experience

Thanks bluefox its great to get your feedback. Stollen is right, all shots were hand held using sigma 18-125mm lens. I think the most important thing to consider in photography is the light. I was lucky when I visited London to have some reasonable weather. Blue sky makes some shots really stand out although when it is just a mass of white cloud you can still shoot pics that don't include the sky, like candids and the street performers. I think your best bet would be to check the weather forecast and as long as its not going to rain all day you should be able to get some great photos.

Stollen, your question about pbase. Its a great place for sharing pics but not really meant for storing. It would take along time uploading full size images and would end up being very expensive. The photos I have on pbase are only low res images for viewing on a p.c. You would be much better off getting an external hard drive for backing up your photos. Cheers, Kevin.

I've checke out your shots and they are a real treat to look at. I live under an hour away from London in Sussex and haven't visited for many years. Your shots have tempted to go for a day's shoot soon when the weather is right.
