Kudos to Panasonic Repair and My Optio S

My Optio S stopped working. The lens would not open. I returned the camera to Pentax Repair in Colorado under an extended Pentax warranty within days of expiring. I was disappointed when the postal service returned my package--the warranty address had changed. I tried again and after a lot of searching found a new Colorado address (Golden, CO). Within two weeks my ol' Optio S was returned, completely repaired. The packing slip indicated that printed circuit boards and/or image sensor were replaced and the camera was adjusted and calibrated. I had forgotten what a pleasure and treasure this small camera was! I feel like I have a new camera, although it is nearly five years old! I am very pleased with Pentax's repair service and its extended warranty.

My Bad! The Pentax Optio was the "Altoid box camera." Yes, I intended to give Pentax credit for their good service. I just purchased a Panasonic TZ3 and I'm very pleased with this exceptional camera and had this camera on my mind. Regret inconvenience.
