Olympus secret update

Because I own 2 fl50 flash units I saw there was a differences between these two.
While they both have firmware 1.0.

The old one has written in the lcd four thirds and using the same focal length as written on the lens like 12 14 17,5.....
The new one has 24 28 35.....

Still I find strange that they have not made a public update for this 1.1 or something

hold "mode" for 3 seconds.

you are entering the setup menue.

move trough setup menue with left wheel.

goto: fourthirds zoom / zoom

use right control wheel to change setting

press "mode" again...

No secret update. You can switch between showing zoom angles in 4/3-format focal lengths or 35mm-format focal lengths.

The left unit is a "flash FL-50", the unit on the right is a "flas FL-50", see the picture in the original post.

I didn't noticed that before, probably, it is made early in the morning and forgot to paint the 'H'.

The old FL-50 was made in Japan and the new one Made in Indonesia?

Many who bought one recently had theirs made in Indonesia.
