This shot was taken through the large wired aviary at the zoo. My first shooting birds. Your C&C are welcome. :)



200mm ~ F2.8 ~ 1/80s (VR on) ~ Flash -0.5 EV ~ ISO 160
 
It's beautifully framed, and the animal is beautiful as well.

However, I have the feeling it's overexposed: looking at the levels in Photoshop, there is no information in the shadows, which you could have fixed using levels.

Besides, it'd seems you bunrt the highlites on the chest of the bird. Which is really a pity since it'd have been great with the shadows fixed, however once this is done, the clipped highlites really become obvious...

Hi Georges,

thank you for your critique. I'm surprised I didn't notice the burned out chest on the bird until you point it out. I've made some changes with PS CS2. Tell me what you think now. :)
