hi, im having a world of trouble trying to print a portrait. the orginal was shot in raw and saved to jpeg. after filtering the noise in noiseware i've tryed unsucessfully to crop in adobe and then print. the image is always to large and the printer (hp D7160) also crops. ive tryed resizing the image following the help steps but i never get a true 8x10. my printer even continues to print 8.5 x11 even when i select 8x10 and crops the very top of my subjects hair off! is there a quick solution or im i doomed! thanks for any advice, vicky

Have you tried setting the dimensions in Image/Image Size?

I don't quite follow you. You shouldn't need to change the image size - photoshop will scale it for you - although you may want to crop it so that it is proportional to the final 10x8 rather than trimming it later if you want a white boarder (to do this use Image > Canvas Size and make sure that long-side/10=short-side/8)

Then use
File > Print with preview
Set the Scaled Print Size to 10 inches by 8 inches and print.
