Who is your favorite DPReview User?

PeekaBoooo !!

The Ecliptic Troll is desperate for attention and recognition.

A troll he is and a troll he will stay, desperately trying to hide himsellf

in any selfconstructed topic that he believes he can master to the end - a predictable end as well -

OK OK OK - You ARE our FAVOURITE TROLL - burt thats all you will be - and nothing will ever change that because of yourself.

Dont ever count on becoming someone who by SKILLS, Experience or other valuable assets than blabbermouthiing distractive topics that you wilkl change whenever they dont go your way and dont suit your selfpredictable outcome of... when they dont - you simply start a new thread about ... basically nothing...

MAN what a pity that Seinfeld is off nowadays .- you would have been a
perfect writer for them, comin up with all this nonsense that you do.

No, maybe not even the favorite troll, but certainly the most persintant and aggrevated Troll you are.

Maybe I drop in on some othher of your threads btw....but thats something youll have to risk since these are open forums...

Still cant see your own behind woth your eclipsed optics?

The news would be that the only thing youd see, probably mucg to your own surprise, wouldnt be a classic hole like the rest of us... but a Trolls-tail...

Guy has a great website for Ricoh users. He also has a Nikon DSLR but doesn't look down on us P&S'ers, is always helpful and informative. He knows what he's talking about and is always there for answers and encouragement.

In fact the whole Ricoh forum is a delight it was one of the reasons I went with the Ricoh over other brands.

Brianj got me started on that forum with his great pics and his words of encouragement.

I'm normally in the Minolta forums, and I second these proposals. Must make a special mention of Feri - Ferenc Mogor. He's always so enthusiastic and helpful and pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved.

Why. Half of you listen to a guy who can't spell at all.

I disagree. Lionheart always gave out good information and showed some great photos, although his windmills were naff. But in a straight photo shoot you would,nt have a leg to stand on.

I realize he does not visit DPR very often, but on his site, if you've got a ludgid question he'll never fail to take a stab at it, and although he owns his website and is pro photog, he's lowered himself to my level many a times to answer my questions. How can you not respect a guy like that,

i read all the posts of theirs i see.

joe is pretty brilliant on technical matters and is extraordinarily accomplished as an engineer. on technical matters i shut up and listen to him.

petteri is more gifted than me on technical matters also, and i listen carefully to his comments as well. he is not the technical master joe is, i don't think, but his aesthetic sense is more refined [from the examples i've seen of both their work]

of the 2 i am more comfortable with petteri, as his aesthetics align more with my understanding of good work, and the gap between his technical expertise and mine is not so vast and forbidding as between mine and joe's. i enjoy petteri's website and politics, as well.

"tao.design" is a true credit to the site -- he posts stunning photos and in-depth equipment reviews while dispensing invaluable advice. I can't believe no-one has mentioned him yet. Seriously, check out his stuff. It's great.

Also, Phil Youngblood has been very helpful with some equipment issues and seems to be a genuine nice guy.

Finally, I haven't seen too much of his work lately, but "flat five" posts some truly outstanding and creative images.

Hmmm... can't not mention vieri either -- this guy does great work!

AAK posts in the Sony Talk Forum and is most generous with his considerable knowledge and experience as evidence the very large "White Paper" he has prepared and provided to all eager to learn.

From the forums I frequent, two individuals stand out. Citylights, one of natures gentlemen and a fine photographer. He is always willing to share his experience and answers all questions. Daniella, a truly gifted wildlife photographer, birds being her speciality. Check out her picture of a bear running towards her in the woods, and then remember it was taken with a wide angle! If ever the warning "don't try this at home folks" was more appropriate!! So thanks to both of them for their inspirational work, advice and the willingness to share and thanks to this thread for allowing me to say so.

Regards,

Rod.
