I know that last week I asked for help on date imprinted on pictures, you gave me a site and I thanked you for it. But I realized it only let you see the date on a picture (some pics dated 200 years old - hugh?) but I would like to know how you print a picture with the date on it. the program does not let you do directly. If you could help me a little further I would appreciate it.

cheers.

I am sorry but I can not help.....I wish I could think of the program that was given to me that did put the date on the photo but I found very little use for that and I must have removed the program.

There was a discussion on the date thing on another forum and someone over there said the Photofun program that comes with the camera can do that,

they said it can print the date or the age of a baby on the photo......but you can not prove it by me.

I will look thru some old hard drives and see if I can find the program that I am sure can do that in a batch process.
My file sorting system leaves a lot to be desired.

Perhaps someone else can be more help.

thank you so much for such a prompt response. Ok, I am waiting and hope you can come up with something to help me with. Have a very nice weekend.

This is what PhotoFun, that came with My FZ30, can do to either one photo or a folder full of photos.

One thing is I needed to manually upload the photos to my computer but maybe if you use Simpleviewer for that it will be OK, but It did not like my favorite program Downloader pro to handle the files or so it seems to me.

I don't know what I did when I added a comment to one of your pictures, it's your waterfalls which I added a comment, please correct and place my comment where it should be. thanks

you know my problem is that when I received my FZ30 I tried the CD that came with it realized I didn't care too much for it, tossed it. Now, how do I get something like that on my computer?

cheers

Send me an Email....I have those programs on a file sharing site that should permit you to download them.....A couple people asked for them but no one ever said if the download worked so I am not sure ,but you are welcome to try.

I am not sure if its legal for me to post a link to the files ....so send me an Email and I will reply with the Link.

there's another possibility: Irfanview (www.irfanview.com, very popular freeware) can do the job too:
1. select "Batch Conversion/Rename" in the "File" menu,
2. check the option "Use advanced options"
3- click the "Set advanced options" button

4. check "Add overlay text" in the "MISCELLANEOUS" section (be sure to have CROP, RESIZE, CHANGE COLOR DEPTH and OTHER OPTIONS unchecked - unless you really intend to use these options too)
5. click "Settings" button

6. set options in the "Add overlay text to image"-popup window according to your preferences (e.g. text "$E36868(%Y/%m/%d)" for date YYYY/MM/DD). Try the "Help"-button (right below the text input field) for detailed info about text&pattern options and EXIF-tags

maybe you have Irfanview already installed on your computer?
bye
