An E-System?

Now I am loving the E-510 and the P-1, but isn't Oly breaking Ranks with calling the New Pro camera P-1 insted of E-3 or something along those lines?

Shouldn't they then call the New E-410 and E-510 P-410 and P-510?

Olympus and Nintendo executives announced an agreement between the companies. Olympus cameras and Nintendo entertainment systems will work seamlessly together. To strengthen this relationship, Olympus announced that their new camera will be named Pii.

I think not referring to the successor as an "E" System camera takes it out of the "e" system line of products from a conceptual point of view. If I was a new consumer.. and had a lineup of Cameras to look at, and they're all E cameras..I wouldn't associate the P camera with the e series at all. To me its just simple association. I think Olympus is screwing up in this respect.

Do you think Nintendo will release Donkey Kong Classic for the Pii? I'll buy a Pii just for that. Long hours in the blind will pass much more quickly. I wonder if the music and sound effects will scare off the critters?

Thank you.

And cheers right back at ya!

(PS: There is one thing in the final product you will love.)

I don't see why this should be an issue. Call it anything and get it on the market. Good quality is all the matters. Dave
