When you send prints off to a lab for processing they normally come back with the photo file name printed on the rear of the photo.

Do any of the wide format printers like Epson 3800 print file names on the back of the photo?

If not, how do people identify photos so if a customer wants to reorder a particular print in the future you will know exactly which one they want?

Thanks

Print a "thumbnail" sheet with image numbers and your contact info.

Could you put a "watermark" of the info in a corner?

That's a great suggestion and would work if you could be assured that the customer would keep the thumbnail printout.

I want the customer to be able to reorder easily at any time in the future. The photos are out on display and not likely to be lost in the filing system like a thumbnail card might be.

A watermark with file info might work but people might object to having that printed on the photo side.

Ideally I would like something on the back of the photo that is permanent to indicate the file name. Any suggestions on what would work there?
