The camera arrived from Argos this morning exactly as promised. Unfortunately, the SD cards I ordered from another place won't be here until tomorrow.

I've borrowed a small SD card from a mate's camera, but have only had time for a little play to make sure everything's working OK. With the hours I'm working at the moment, I probably won't be able to post any shots until later in the week.

First Impressions : I'm appalled ... what am I going to blame now for any poor shots I take!!! The camera focus is virtually immediate and accurate with the kit lenses, although I haven't tried the black cat in a dark room test yet. The level of detail captured is amazing and the SR system rocks.

I've tried a few shots at 1600 iso indoors and outside. I haven't been able to look at them on a monitor yet, but if I can believe the camera LCD zoomed in at 20x, then the noise control is fantastic. My last camera was a Sony-717 and this Samsung at 1600 seems as good or better than the Sony at 200!

It'll take me a little while to get used to it, but I'm sure I'm gonna love this camera!

I'll post examples when I can.

All the best

Yep, it came with both Schneider lenses - 18-55 and 50-200. I'll post some shots when I can. Was there one of them you were particularly interested in.

Look forward to your first pics, i always thought it would be a good camera all the best Alan.

Either or both would be fine. Whatever moves you.. I'm a classic film large and medium format camera fan and have always found the Schneider lenses some of the best ever made. Nice and contrasty and razor sharp! I want to see if they perform equally well on a digital.

Still happy with the K10d (in spite of the pixel peepers)
