So UPS put my camera on the wrong truck and I didn't end up getting it until after dark. I couldn't wait until the sun came up. They're nothing special but I had to play with the new camera.

you've got a good eye and a great camera :).

Enjoy your new toy! I really love mine.

And, BTW, according to the snapshots you took just to play, you are going to take real wonders with the 5D! I like a lot the three pictures you've posted, specially the first one. Palm trees are really photogenic.
Best wishes!

Nice shots. I noticed that you also needed to up the AEC by 3/4 on some of the low light shots. I did too when I got my new 5D and it came as a surprise coming from the 20D, which exposed perfectly in most all conditions. I read some other posts that the 5D can underexpose in low light. Do you guys find that to be the same case? I thought I had a bad copy at first.

It seemed to depend on the shot. In some instances the metering was just fine. It seemed to happen more when a shot had a number of concentrated light sources. When it was light by ambient light the issue wasn't as apparent.
