Hello- After a weekend of shaky photos I've decided to invest in a tripod. I'm looking for the lightest/smallest tripod available for travel convienance. Any suggestions? Also, where can I find good camera cases/backpacks for camping?
Thanks,

I strongly suggest a monopod. It takes up 1/3 of the space that a regular tripod takes and is also that much lighter. It is amazing just how stable a monopod is. This is especially true if you are not using an add-on tripod. Now, if you want to set up a tripod to take pictures of yourself, a tripod is required. But in that case you might want to buy one of those little table-top tripods.

I would also suggest a Monopod. I got a heavy duty one on E-bay but you can find some really lite weight ones also.

Wal-Mart has a good selection of light tri-pods and the prices are good.

I thought I needed a super one so I bought a Bogan on E-Bay and have been sorry ever since as the cheap one I had worked just as good with the light weight camera.

Oh well hope this helps.--Jeff SUZI 21OOWB9ZPO
