do you like the new explorer 7.0

I hate it. I never could get to open outlook email file. can't stand that tab system it made a tab for everything I looked at. Favvorites bar will not stay down you have to open it every time you want something

IE7? WTF is IE7? There is no other browser than Firefox. Try it, you'll love it. I have never had any problems with it. I was just reading PC Magazine and someone had written it complaining about it.

Frankly, I can't tell much about IE7 because it appeared to be incompatible with my old yet functional firewall. So I still keep using Opera.

You should be able to go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall IE7, restart and your old IE6 should be back up and running. At least that's what I read on the website for IE7.

See this link for instructions and more info:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx

According to their website, unistalling 7 should take you back to 6.

I can't get the home button where the the forward and backward
arrows are. Where do I find the home button?

Is there a way to get the old IE back?

Thanks,

Melissa: Home button is a little blue and white house second row to the right.

Not sure what problems others are having, but mine has never been a problem, favorites works, tabs are not a bother either. gc

I really think something went wrong the first time it installed
on phone with MS 30 min
email now working
tabs gone and favorites will stay down

they told me that in a few weeks if 7.0 is not installed you will not receive any of the MS updates

Is there a way to rip the number of bars to two only in IE7?

In IE6, I had file-edit-view...etc -bar on top and right below it a combined button/address/links bar. This maximized my surfing screen.

In IE7, I have three bars - one more eating my screen area.

Anyone?

got it down to two bars if I turn off menu bar
It takes a while to click and delete all the garbage bars and tabs

I found it. To hide the annoying command bar, using regedit helps:

HKEY_CUREENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/CommandBar

There, one needs to add a DWORD called "Enabled" with value=0,
and just restart IE7.

I don't have the little house on mine. All I have is the front and back buttons and the web address line on the first row and on the second row is the file edit view etc and on the third row is nothing and on the last two rows are junk.

Unfortunately, it's one way that the continued growth in the computer world can grow. I still have ME. No further updates and that will make me, within time, have to update my entire system. I'm not fond of that but it is business. :o( I still have IE6 because I like it. My husband has IE7 and it's definately different! Yahoo's new home page isn't great either...

Melissa: It sounds like you have a corrupt download. You might need to turn off any firewall or anti-virus protection, uninstall IE 7 and re-install. You should see the Retouching Forum in a blue window, and two inches over from there should be the "home" house, internet feeds, printer, page and tools.
