Hi Everyone,

Having Recently Purchased an S9100 / S9600 and Basiclly Liking it Very Much... I do sometimes however get at troubling thought...
Which Fuji has the Very Best Semi-Pro Photo Quality ?

Some of the S6000fd/ S6500fd Posts have a Deeper Look to My Eyes.

I know this can be a Very Subjective call...

Which Camera has the ACTUAL Highest Usable Optical Resolution ?

Well... So What's Your Opionion ?

Your right, that is quite subjective, especially since everyone has a different idea of what "photo quality" means.

The S9XXX series I would think has the best resolution but since almost any of the current product line outresolve the abilities of current printers its likely a moot point. If you have been following the forum for any amount of time you will have seen excellant work from Fujis entire line of cameras from the F10 - F30 series up to the S9XXX series.

If I was told I could have any Fuji camera from their current lineup ... easy question S3 Pro without a hesitation at all.

The S6000fd puts more sharpening into it's images than the s9000. The depth difference I guess would just be from them having different processors and image sensors, although they are quite similar. At low ISO, the S9x00 probably gets more real resolution, while once you get to ISO800 and above, the S6000 easily has better detail retention.

Best is subjective. I chose the S6000fd because I prefer having 6MP images from a small sensor camera. The extra 3MP give me little benefit and force me to deal with larger photos. I rather have the better low noise performance, and I did not need a hotshoe, so S6000fd for me.

I think both cameras take awesome pictures without oversaturation, and chrome mode gives saturation equal to most other cams, so it works out. Lens wise, they are nearly identical if not identical.

I purchased the S9100 a couple of days ago. I haven't gotten a chance yet to go out and take photos. Perhaps later today and definitely tomorrow. I will post a link to those photos. In the meantime, I came across the link listed below from someone at another forum. The photos were all taken with the Fujifilm S9100 (S9600 in Japan and most other parts of the world). Some of the photos were taken at a higher ISO settings. Be patient with the pages loading on that site.
