I don't mean these pics are glorious, but Nature here is making a glorious exit of the fall season. Most trees are now bare, but burning bushes are at, or just past, their peak. I posted some pictures of these a week ago, and here is a revisit of the town parkland, with the wild burning bushes giving their last hurrah. First a shot of a path through some bushes (please expand):
Here's a longer view of the colorful dingle:
The next closeup came from a burning bush in our back yard. This is one that I did not plant--a seed must have blown by and up sprouted this little maverick:
Finally, not autumn color, but a picture of the final score between our large maple (left side)and an oak (right side), with regard to retention of leaves. The score: maple--0, oak--600 !
Final confession. Almost exactly one year ago, I bought a Konica-Minolta 5D dSLR, mainly for its image stabilization. Although I enjoy its viewfinder and responsive speed, it is larger and more heavy by far than my Kodak DX6490, so the truth is, I rarely use it. Today, I decided to get it out and exercise it a bit, so these are not Kodak pics, but KM 5D. I had to do some post processing to get the colors as I remember them, as well as some sharpening, typical of dSLR output. All pics are at ISO 100 except for the last two, which are ISO 400.
