I've been posting pictures from a recent wedding shoot. Finally got round to processing pictures of my family.

One of the reasons I did the shoot (apart from the fact that the bride is a friend of my wife's) is that one of my grand-daughters was a bridesmaid.

Here's the first family shot - my eldest son (Arron) with my two eldest grand-kids; Zoe (left) and Holly (right).

I'm really proud of these three (me and the missus have 5 kids and 10 grand-kids) Arron has brought the girls up on his own for the last 10 years (with a little help from his mum - I'm proud of her too).

Less rambling - here's the shot:

Great shot, just curious, why did you use 800?

The light at the end of the tunnel is becoming clearer and its calling me to the darkside!

Also took some non-flash photos so as not to spoil the atmosphere (dancing under disco lights, etc.) with my Sigma 18-55mm F2.8 DC EX and my Minolta 50mm F1.7 - hence the ISO 800.

There have been a lot of reported problems with the 7D and the 5600HS(D) flash unit. Experience has taught me that my flash "behaves" itself with the settings used - ISO 800 with a +1 EV adjustment (diffuser fitted).

The little noise there might be (with the stress on might) is easily dealt with by noise ninja.

Beautiful family. Nice lighting. I would have edited out the shiny patches (esp.on the older girl's forehead and around her eyes and on the guy's forehead) though. They are a little distracting.
