Bogen Manfrotto 3035 tripod and 3047 Head

I just won the Bogen 3035 boat anchor and 3047 head on Ebay with out knowing that It is that big!

Is there anyone using this model? How heavy is it? I couldn't find a spec for it. I think It is too big for my E-500

I believe it is like the 3036 tripod, about 10 lbs. The tripod head is the same one on you links.

I have the 3047 head and often use it with an E300. It's overkill, but works well for me -- solid as a rock and pretty smooth movements for the price. If I were buying new for Oly cameras I'd go one size smaller, but already had it and it works well.

I"m not vamily with the tripod, but unless you're having to carry it long distances, too much is better than too little. I think you'll be ok with your purchase.
