Nikon D80 - What card to choose

Kowing that I was going to get the D80 I purchased two SanDisk
Ultra II 2.0GB last month while they were on sale at Circuit City
for $49 each, since I was in no hurry for the flash I also picked
up an SB600 a month ago with the Nikon rebate no tax and free
standard shipping.
The good thing about the SB600 is that it is backward compatible
with my N90s
interesting, what about N80? I have one D80 and thinking of buying
a SB800
As far as I know the backward compatability is with the Nikon cameras that did TTL and used flashes like the SB-26

Hmm I didn't plan out the mem card very well orderd the D-80 w/ NIKON 18-135MM F/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S. Then called back to buy 2nd day air, instead of 7 to 10 day roadtrip.

Then called back and ordered 3 lens filters and what ever their largest capacity sd card was, turned out to be Panasonic 4 gb card. I hope this works okay and has decent write speeds they charged me $220 for it? It says 5MB/S assuming thats 5 Megabit write speed? is that any good?

Cheers

Depends where you're located. In most places I could think of, that price would be criminal.

If you're in the US, just buy a card at Best Buy and return it. That's what I did when I got my D70. It gives you something to shoot with for 30 days (that's the time limit on returns) which gives you more than enough time to order and receive a low-cost one from an Internet retailer.

Ridata 2GB SD 150 X for me also. There are stores selling this card for a mere $39. I ordered 3 of them (initially). I am staying away (for now) from the 4GB HD cards since they seem to be slower (and more expensive).

I have a 2GB 150X Ridata CF for my D70... the SD is even cheaper.

Look on Newegg.com for the best deal. Super cards.

Formatted fine in the D80
