Post your latest flower shots.

It rained all day here in Gatineau (near Ottawa), but I managed a few shots between rain drops :/

This was my first try at shooting without the flash and Lumiquest Softbox combo. I can always seen the Softbox head in the rain drops and it bugs me, so gave this a try. Shutter speed was too low on some, and of course DOF is even shallower.

I wonder if a powefull flashlight from different angles would work at increasing the light, without having to revert to the flash ?

Brian,

Love the dewdrops! I tell you, when you take on a project, you do it in a first-class manner. I still love your stereo shots and swear I'm going to try it one day. Kudos on these.

Rudi,

Man o man, that first shot is amazing. You have taken floral photography well into the realm of fine art photography.

All the best,

jim

You obviously also have brilliant eyesight! Seriously though, was
it the 100mm macro?
--
Certainly haven't got brilliant eyesight- I wear 2.5 Dioptre reading glasses :) to spot things and then take them off to take the picture :)

First 2 shots were with an MPE-65 at 3:1 but you can get away with doing them at 2:1 with a 100mm macro lens and a full set of extension tubes (68mm). Last shot was with my 105mm macro lens at less than 1:1
