Hello,

I figured I'd give sports photography a shot, since I've taken enough nature photos for the week! Criticism, either for the photos or the post processing, is definitely welcome. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for checking out this long series! I hope there are some Eagles fans on here who can also benefit from the pictures.

Good shots. Looks like you had fun at the training camp.

I especially like the one of McNabb with the guy on the sideline with the
T.O. Sucks T-shirt.

I am thinking about going over to the Seahawks training camp in a few weeks and if I get some good shots, I'll post them as well.

thanks for sharing.

I didn't even see that! It completely changes the tone of the shot.

Those are great shots...

The muscles.. the the sweats... the actions...

I wonder what the guy with big guns at his disposal think when he saw you with just H2 taking those shots...

Cheers..

I think that is why I'm as happy with them as I am. They could just be a bit sharper, but that is to be expected. Also, a lot of the pictures were taken at 1/800, which should be good enough for handheld, even with the 1.7X zoom.

I was glad I bought the camera, but now I'm really glad I did based on the results I'm getting at camp. The 1.7X addition is amazing, and the steady shot helps so much when I'm all the way out at 732MM! I definitely recommend that setup!

almost look superfluous!

(for those about to argue how much higher quality those super lenses are, how much faster shutter speeds can be achieved, the quality of glass and resolution, and awesome burst speeds...I know).

For the money and for the size, I think the bang you are getting from the H2 + tele is unbelievable. Certainly, noone with those 5-figure kits on the sideline would possibly imagine that the guy across the field with the little compact digital in his hands is getting anything close to their monster 600, 700, and 1000mm lenses.

Surprise! 732mm of decent 1/800 and 1/1000 shutter speeds makes for a surprisingly capable little camera for this type of thing! And you've done a great job in capturing expressions, positions, and moments (the launching player straining the calf muscles is wonderful).

I don't know if those are muscles, tendons, or whatever...but it's amazing that anyone can look like that. The person in question is Jevon Kearse, and they don't call him "The Freak" for nothing I guess.
