A fix for her face?

David,

For a quick & dirty, you can try the freeware Clean skin available at http://www.mediachance.com which will also soften the pic

Of course there is always PS and PSP for that purpose to make extensive changes...Harvey
Hi everyone,

Ok I know I was getting too far into Photoshop mania.....

But, is there any way to smooth out the blotches on her forehead?

Any advice would be helpful.

Harvey,
It was Photoshop that got me into "overplaying" my hand in the photo.

The thing I can't figure out, is why the skin on her chest is not blotchy..when I used the same effect onbot face and chest.

Please don't ask me to explain all the stages i put it thru...there were LOTS of layers..
Thanks for your input.

Do you still have the original? If not, you're going to have fun getting the grey areas looking natural... I would have fun, anyway, lol.

As you pointed out, you've gone to far already, so what the heck, lets just destroy the whole thing...

Start with the color picker and grab some of the color from near, but outside the bloch. Then switch two a sprayer about 1/4 the size of the bloch. Use the picked color at about 10% pressure to spray the areas that are too light. This will help blend them in with the rest of the head. If you can't blend them because they get dark too quick, reduce the pressure to 5% and try again. Use short bursts of spray so you can UNDO if it starts getting out of hand.

Of course, this is all because you've done something already. Let me suggest a better way to do it. Start with a clean shot. I assume you were trying to cover blemishes on her skin. Normally, you can do that with the blur tool if they are small. If they are larger, try cloning them out. You will end up with skin with detail and texture instead of your current result.

Also if you want to remove a blemish and can't clone it away, try color picking around it and then using a low pressure spray to mask it, instead of over doing it.

I use a filter called "smart blur" sometimes to make flesh look very smooth. You have to use it at a low intensity or things look cartoony though.
